Body Changes

As you grow from child to adult your body changes and you start to feel differently about all sorts of things, including relationships. This can lead you to feel insecure about the way your body is developing and what this means in future relationships.  You may feel unhappy about the changes and feel different to others and confused as to what some of the changes mean.

What you can do

It is important that you can work out why you feel the way you feel and the best way to do this is to speak to someone.  Talking to someone about your feelings can help you to understand and make sense of the emotions that you are experiencing.  Sharing with someone you trust can help you to feel less isolated and also give that person an idea of how to support you.

Who you can speak to

It is important that you talk to someone you can trust with these intimate feelings.  A close friend or relative is good and they can see you regularly to offer support, however you may feel uncomfortable sharing these feelings with them.  You have lots of other choices, you can speak to a corner worker in confidence or use the support services available online or on the phone.
